About Magnolia

Established in 2021, Magnolia is a faith-based nonprofit based in Columbia, Missouri and serves Central Missouri.

Our work is rooted in the Christian faith, motivated by the love of Jesus and a calling to serve those who are vulnerable and in need. Magnolia began with volunteer outreach, seeking out and building relationships with women in the midst of trafficking and exploitation. As outreach expanded and more women were met, a clear gap in services and long-term support for survivors became evident.

Over the next three years, Magnolia grew into an organization conducting weekly outreach while expanding community prevention and education efforts. We now have three full-time staff members, a dedicated board, and a network of committed volunteers.

Our generous community keeps the work of restoration going.

Why the Magnolia flower?

The Magnolia flower represents perseverance and endurance, both of which are qualities that we see in the survivors we work with. We are committed to establishing genuine relationships with those who have been sexually exploited and trafficked. It is our hope that through these relationships we will be able to provide a safe path out of exploitation or trafficking.
